Homesick Hungarian Blues Long road ahead no home behind got to stay alive keep walking on. Devil on my back trying to break me down got a whip to crack keep walking on Cold wind a blow bad moon asrise hear them mournful cries and keep walking on. Shoes wearing down coat old and thin sure it ain't a sin to keep walking on Running in the mountains in the snow and the ice 'scaping in the winter gotta look behind twice with a loaf of bread and a photograph Find another home build another life far away from strife keep walking on learn to live today never look behind still a troubled mind I keep walking on. (Note: this song is about my uncle Gabor, who fled Hungary as a refugee, crossing the Carpathian Mtns.)

At least I have my Ukulele Oh my cat is a drunk and my dog ran away the horses took off with a bale of hay I got fired from my job kicked out of my home the tavern was shut now I'm here all alone all alone, alone but at least, I have my ukulele I wandered the streets got hassled by thugs slept in a box had to share with the bugs oh the cops woke me up they were movin' me on so I wandered the town all the night until dawn alone, alone but at least, I had my ukulele Oh but then, then I found the gypsy camp they were dancin' around, dancin' around the fire they were passing a bottle around and singing a song we have each other tonight and that's enough we have each other tonight and that's enough without each other tonight we are nothing, nothing at all. They sang me songs of their home treated me as one of their own told stories, told jokes and drank wine read poems that never did rhyme Then the cops came to chase us around we ran through the streets of the town they caught us and locked us away oh they beat us through night and through day I was alone, alone when they took, away my ukulele Alone in my cell I gave up on hope my soul it was hanging from the end of a rope in the cell next to mine someone started to sing I stood up on my feet and then I joined in in the cell next to mine someone started to clap I heard the guard moving and I heard the click-clack of a key in a lock... then I heard the voice stop... and then start up again... Oh but then, all our voices raising up as they took him away and put him in chains yeah and as they dragged him from the room we sang a song... we have each other tonight and that's enough we have each other tonight and that's enough without each other tonight we are nothing, nothing at all.

Song of the south The sun sets behind clouds, i'm lost in the crowds my name is lost to the wind though I sing and I shout, my heart bleeds with doubt and my courage is worn out and thin then I look at the moon, like a flower in bloom and the stars are the pollen of night then I look at the trees, I converse with the breeze and the birdsong is cheerful and bright though the road stretches dark, a fire burns in my heart its embers are words in my mouth the promised dream, though never seen dreams of me, living here in the south

Tambourine 03:50
Tambourine (for Regan Gardener) I will always remember you with a tambourine in your hand and a smile so bright it ended the war the wave of your skirt is a spring breeze, blowing cares like cotton on the wind I will always remeber them that tribe of women who wear your smile who dance because you dance whose joy is your joy whose laughter ended the war when the generals came to town. I have seen you wear the crown of a queen I have seen your feet dirty from the street and when you dance the world it spins for you. I will always remember you with a tambourine in your hand and a smile so bright it ended the war
